I have a wired connection to the DoorBird of >100Mbps and have done the suggested checks that DoorBird recommend. This consistently takes >10 seconds and is well behind much cheaper alternatives like Ring. However much worse than that is the delay from doorbell ringing to being able to see who’s there and talk to them or open a gate. It needs an urgent, customer led design facelift. The app is not intuitive with buttons and menus that are years behind modern app standards. However, their app development skills are lacking and need to catch up much faster than they have in the 2+ years since I first bought their product where there has been no visible improvements since. Then they offer to upgrade or sell you parts that are ridiculously expensive. DoorBird are crooks! The Door bird can be remotely cut off when ever they want, which I suspect they have done to me, as we started to inquire about the fault, suddenly the unit can’t connect to the app. Our options are to replace it at a cost of $500 US or wait for the upgrade with a generous 20% discount. Door bird just said it wasn’t covered under warranty and that the unit was faulty. Then when my installer tried to get support to fix the problem the app just stopped working. I sounded like I was under water with a huge delay.

Couriers and visitors would get so frustrated trying to listen to my instructions over the speaker. When we eventually installed it it was very disappointing. We bought it before we even started building so we could ensure the specifications were correct for wiring and to build our security gates to house it. All the features of door bird were exactly what we were looking for in our new house.
